EMBRACE THE JOURNEY
12/21/2025  3:00 PM CT
AMANDA LITTREL
Amanda possesses over 22 years of experience influenced by her journey within the justice system, coupled with 5 years as a transgender woman navigating life with a registry status. She formerly served as the Executive Director of Iowans Unafraid, a state affiliate of the National Association for Rational Sexual Offense Laws (NARSOL), and currently holds a position on the NARSOL Board. Recently, Amanda was honored as a Higher Education in Prison (HEP) Fellow at the Rockwood Leadership Institute, an opportunity that underscores her commitment to advocacy for all individuals impacted by the justice system.

Despite the challenges associated with being on the registry, Amanda remains resilient and dedicated to living authentically. She plans to share her inspiring travel experiences as someone affected by the registry, aiming to empower and motivate others facing similar circumstances to embrace their journeys and pursue their aspirations. Through her story, Amanda hopes to foster a sense of community and encourage resilience in the face of adversity.
